It is with immense joy, gratitude and humility that I return as the Chairman of the esteemed Maritime Association of Shipowners Shipmanagers and Agents (MASSA). The opportunity to again serve this esteemed association fills me with a profound sense of purpose and excitement.

As we move further together, I am reminded of the incredible journey we've undertaken thus far. MASSA provides a forum for member lines to interact with the Administration, Unions and other national and international stakeholders of the Maritime industry, in matters relating to the employment, training and welfare of Indian Seafarers. Our collective efforts have propelled MASSA to the forefront of various sustainable initiatives, advocating for advancements that not only benefit our Seafarers but also contribute to the greater good of the Maritime industry.

Looking ahead, our vision for MASSA remains steadfast. I envision a future where our Seafarers can work in a truly inclusive, diverse and equitable environment. The aim is to up-skill the Indian Seafarers to keep pace with all the technological advancements and innovations. MASSA also remains committed to meeting the goals of the Maritime India Vision 2030 and the Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 and we wish to work alongside the Administration to make India the global hub for skilled maritime labour. Collectively, all of us at MASSA are committed to championing the Maritime profession so that the upcoming generations are inspired to take to a life at sea. The benefits of a life at sea are plenty but this ‘less spoken of’ career needs to be highlighted to our budding youth who are looking for a fair, satisfying and rewarding profession.

I am eager to work alongside each and every stakeholder of the Indian maritime industry to continue the legacy of the good work done at MASSA till date and hope that we will achieve more on this exciting journey together.
