The Department of Posts, Maharashtra Circle, has announced the expansion of its premium 24 Speed Post service beyond the current metro-to-metro network. A total of 27 new lanes have been identified for operationalization in the Maharashtra Circle for parcels to provide faster, time-bound delivery for retail and bulk customers across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Nagpur.

Currently, 24 Speed Post connects six major cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. In Mumbai, 29 designated post offices accept 24 Speed Post bookings for other metro cities, with inward articles delivered throughout the city. The new expansion meets rising customer demand for rapid, reliable transit to additional delivery PIN codes.

India Post's premium speed post services and festive offerings (such as 24-hour/48-hour delivery guarantees and Diwali Express / Diwali Saral services) provide key advantages for sending seasonal sweets, gifts, and urgent parcels during the festive rush.
