As part of our on-going commitment to seafarer wellbeing under the WE Care initiative, Anglo-Eastern proudly introduced the Career Care Team (CCT) in 2024. This team—comprising some of our most experienced Marine HR leaders—was created to provide personalized career guidance and accelerate the professional growth of our seafarers.

In recent years, we’ve observed a significant shift: while most of our Chief Officers and Second Engineers were once under 30, today only about 1% of our management-level officers fall into that age group. This trend poses a challenge as we prepare for the future—one that demands adaptability, digital fluency, and readiness for innovations like dual-fuel systems, AI integration, and smart ship technologies.

That’s why we’re launching Mission 30—a bold initiative to increase the proportion of management-level officers under 30 from 1% to 30% by the year 2030.

This is how we’re making it happen:

Personalized Career Ladder Maps: Every officer receives a tailored roadmap highlighting the gap between their current position and their ideal career trajectory.

Targeted Training & Assessments: Focused programs to prepare officers for timely promotions.

CCT Mentorship: Expert guidance on COC examinations, ship-type transitions, and long-term career planning.

We invite all young seafarers to seize this opportunity—to grow faster, lead sooner, and become the next generation of maritime professionals. With the right support and ambition, you can reach the top of your sea career before 30.

Let’s navigate the future together.
